When you see that a new Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs YouTube video has been posted, it’s always a good sign… This amazing cut was made in collaboration with ADAM, though it is unclear as to what he does or who he is exactly. The tune in the video, “American Dream Part II,” was named “Hottest tune in the world right now” by BBC Radio 1′s Zane Lowe last week and there is no arguing against that. Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs’ debut album, Trouble, will be dropping on June 11th and it can’t come soon enough.

The White Panda is a pair of boys with a creative edge. Listening to Bittersweet Donald shows just how crafty they can be when mashing up Mac Miller’s corky “Donald Trump” laced with Verve’s classic “Bittersweet Symphony” conceiving Bittersweet Donald. The name itself is fitting for a track as juicy as this one. It makes you want to rock to the lyrics and sway to the music all at the same time, giving you an experience of absolute radness.

150 shows later and a bustling bank = Skrillex has entered the Forbes top 100 richest celebrities.

Yes that’s right, Skrillex’s worth has now been estimated to exceed $15 million making him one spot richer than US 30 rock comedian Tina Fey. The spot coincides with a busy year for the producer with Grammy wins, news of dating sonstress Ellie Goulding, being named one of the greatest guitarists of all time and leading the rise of dubstep globally!

Pretty impressive for a 24 year old transvestite.

Named after the infamous Kenny Powers quote, ‘Bob Duato’ is a murderous dubstep tune with a true shark bite. Valentino rattles a slimier bassline that the dub crowd will excited about.

A Greeting of Sorts

It’s summer now and we can ease off the bangers for a second and sit back to relax the soothing sounds of summer time disco. Honestly, Nate’s got the headbangery bangers covered so, I’ll be providing the lighter touch most of the time anyway. For all of you getting all white-knuckled and riled up about that, don’t worry, I’ll add some tracks to your Fight Music playlist from time to time too. This is more of an introduction, so for now, this is what I’m listening to and have a great big disco-y boner for:

Grab a Mai Tai or margarita, then text girls that you think will look good in bikinis to come to the pool party and play it cool so they don’t think you’re just inviting them to see them in a bikini. I said play it cool, Nate! Only Children are the tits. Listen to this while you float on your party raft. Oh, you don’t have one? Sucka.

Viceroy is the champion of summer tunes. A contender at least and this is a jam as always. Better than a jam— a whole jar of preserves.

Really digging this right now. A.N.D.Y. & Vicente’s EP Traffic is pretty sweet all around, but this is the standout. It really heats up after a couple minutes. This is for when the margaritas start leavening your mood the warm summer night settles in.

Sure, this is probably already on everyone’s iPod already, but it’s pretty great. Anyone who gets their name from the Wu Tang name generator and slays like Childish Gambino is okay by me and Justin Faust continuously pumps out songs that get a lot of mileage on miTunes

Okay, okay. I like Katy Perry sometimes. Fine. Especially when it gets the RAC treatment. You know you like it. Deal with it or ignore it.

Last, but not least this Lenno remix of Martin Solveig’s The Night Out has been topping my favorite tracks queue for the last couple weeks. Lenno is an 18-year old Finnish game changer. Hit up Beatport and supplement the kid’s allowance. Check out Your Style if you’re on his Soundcloud.

That’s to kick start your summer. Now sit by the pool with a molotov cocktail and relax.

Baauer – Harlem Shake

Let’s Go (HLM & Spryte Remix) – Calvin Harris + Official Video

This was a submission for the Calvin Harris Remix Contest on Beatport and it stands out as my favorite so far. HLM has been a DD favorite for a while and his collab on this remix with Spryte bangs. The scratch effect is used in a very clever way and they maintain enough of the original medley to maintain what makes the original so good, but put their own vibe in to it. The break has that big fat electro synth we’ve all come to know and love. This might see some regular rotation from yours truly.
